Steven’s personal story
I was referred to the dermatology clinic and scheduled to have it removed. They carved a tangerine-sized piece out of my face where the affected area was, leaving a gaping hole. Thank God for the plastic surgeons, as you cannot even tell anything happened.
Sometimes I hear, "Oh, it's ‘just’ skin cancer!" Well, I keep a photo on hand to show what my face looked like after the surgery for situations such as that, and I find that folks quickly re-evaluate their posture on what "just" skin cancer can do!
Maybe telling my story will help others to keep from the dangerous and potentially lethal concept of "just" skin cancer!
